Artist statement
I absorb and articulate mental and physical stresses of modern life into abstract language, which is translated to the material via a vocabulary of manipulation. The daily and practical interaction between the viewer and glass initiates an association to the work, employing curious examination as a pathway toward an intuitive recognition of a visual conversation. The inherent resilience and fragility of glass shares a paradox of the human experience serving to strengthen the connection
Recent work investigates abstract concepts of distortion, restriction, pressure, and expulsion.
